I'm giving this 3 stars because I will give it the benefit of the doubt and say that maybe, just maybe, there was some kind of user error on my part, however, I don't think I'll be getting this brand again to find out. * When I finally got to do my first post-dye shower it, no joke, took at least 4 shampooing attempts before the blue finally stopped running AND it stained the tub all over again. (Luckily my pillowcase is black, unfortunately my CPAP headgear isn't.) However, it bled on a lot of stuff, my fingers looked like I was permanently frostbitten, and my neck kept getting stained when I'd sleep. * I then let it dry and it looked really nice. Thank gods I wore gloves throughout the entire process (dying and rinsing). My poor tub looked like I tried to fight a Smurf though. It looked a lot like a blue Kool-Aid Jammer when I finally had to call it quits with the rinsing. * My first rinse out never actually rinsed to clear, despite trying for at least 10 minutes (maybe more, I lost count). * Easy to apply and looked nice in my hair right after (Disclaimer: I covered over brown hair for a blue-black effect) * Very nice texture and smelled decent (not chemically like some boxed dyes). My entire process is over 3 days: Day 1 = application/rinse, Day 3 = wash. The reviews I did read seemed good, so I decided to take a chance on it. Let me start off with: I really really wanted to like this. I still had a mostly full container of the product so it worked out in the end, but the seller may need to look into better product packaging to prevent this for future orders. The plastic seal around the cap was still intact, but it looked almost as if the very top of the cap above the seal was cut all the way around. I assume that is when it had to have happened. My biggest gripe is the container the dye is in busted at some point during shipping. Will probably continue to buy my vibrant hair colors from lunar tides. I really like the specific shades of purple lunar tides offers that I couldn't find when looking at other semi permanent colors. It helped bring the remaining blonde in my hair to be mostly a purplish pink and the blue & silver look more purple now. The color is way more vibrant and the dye is easy to work with. So I found the amethyst color with lunar tides and I wish I had just gone with this brand to begin with. Had the dye been true to the description, it would have turned out more purple than blue or silver. My hair didn't look purple whatsoever but blue and silver. What was a big deal was when I used another brand's pinkish purple dye and boy oh boy what a mistake. A few spots were medium blonde but it's the bottom layer of my hair so it's not a huge deal. I bleached once and was left with mostly light blonde. I went from orange to purple, so i already had a difficult task at hand.
